Our Story

In 2017, our founder Adam Rosante was visiting an urban farm in Harlem. The founder of that farm took Adam to an elementary school on 135th St where he was planning to install a few raised bed gardens.

They got to talking about the challenges this particular school faced when Adam learned that the kids got all their weekday meals through subsidized programs.

“What do they do on the weekends?” he asked.

“They don’t eat,” the farmer replied.

“You mean to tell me that 40 blocks from one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, there are dozens of little children who are starving on Saturdays and Sundays?”

“No,” replied the farmer.” "Thousands.”

Adam met with the school’s principal three days later, left her office and came up with the idea for Good Eats.

We’ve been feeding the kids every weekend, since.

And with a lotta help from one of his friends, we’re in LA now, too.
